PEACE TENT 2011: The Sound of Peace

Think globally, act locally: Let's create a global tent and let Peace ring every night for seven days in Sptember. Make your wishes, say your prayers, sing a song, play music that speaks peace to your heart, and send them off by ringing a chime(s), bell(s) exactly at 6:30 in the evening. Please RSVP on Facebook and list your country. Post this on your Wall and invite as many friends as you can.

This year, you don't have to make a trip, but we invite you to become a member of the PEACE TENT community by sending your RSVP. You can be anywhere in the world and still participate. What is needed is your wish to make the world a peaceful place. We ask that you commit to being intentional about practicing peace for a period of seven days, September 18-24. Let's join in making out wishes and saying our prayers, and ringing the chimes very evening at exactly 6:30 PM.

The sound waves will carry away your wishes, and we may all meet somewhere in the statosphere. Whether you believe in the science of it or just like the symbolic act, intentional practice reaffirms your desire and reminds you to be mindful in your daily actions and relations.

Let's make PEACE.
